Dom la Nena

Classically trained and heir to Brazilian and French cultures, Dom la Nena accompanies Jane Birkin, Jeanne Moreau, Étienne Daho, Camille, La Grande Sophie and Piers Faccini, who produced her first solo album Ela (2013), sung in her native tongue, followed by the EP Golondrina.

The following year saw the formation of the folk duo Birds on a Wire with Rosemary Standley, Franco-American singer of the group Moriarty. After a first album of the same name with baroque and world music accents in 2014, the partnership was renewed in 2020 with Ramages. As a solo artist, Dom La Nena records the album Soyo (2015) for the Six Degrees label, composed and performed by Marcelo Camelo of the group Los Hermanos, followed by the EP Cantando (2016). His third album Tempo (2021) includes the duet Quien Podrá Saberlo with Mexican singer Julieta Venegas.

Her latest album takes the name of his cello, Leon (2024).
