Asmine grew up in Paris, in a family of Comorian origin. She is the eldest of 9 children. She admits to having a strong character, forged because she had to overcome trials: born with a kidney malformation; she has already undergone about twenty operations. Despite this, she maintains the ‘chic attitude’, challenges the authority of her brothers, refuses to cry ever, questions some of her parents’ choices and increasingly questions herself about her place as a woman in our society.
