Karam Al Kafri
Syrie/PalestineKaram grew up in Yarmouk, a city in southern Damascus where Palestinian refugees have settled since the 1950s. In 2011, he is 18 years old, he is taking the baccalaureate but it is also the year of the revolution in Syria in which he participates from the first months. His father decides to send him to study in Moscow because life becomes too dangerous. He spends two years there before being able to join his mother and sister in Marseille. He comes from an atheist family, politically committed. He starred in the film Meltem by Basile Doganis, released in March 2019. He currently lives in Toulouse and is a computer engineer in the aerospace industry. In February 2025, after the fall of the Syrian regime, he returns to Damascus with part of his family, for the first time in 13 years.
