Karam Al Kafri

Karam grew up in Yarmouk, a city in southern Damascus where Palestinian refugees have settled since the 1950s. He comes from an atheist and politically engaged family. In 2011, he turned 18 and passed the baccalaureate. This was also the year of the revolution in Syria and he participated in this conflict for the first few months. His father decided to send him to study in Moscow because life became too dangerous. He spent two years there before he was able to join his mother and his sister in Marseille. In Marseille he continued his computer studies. He acted in the film “Meltem” by Basile Doganis, released in March 2019.
